The highlands are surrounded by many Lochs. These lochs are truly spectacular, with the rolling mountains in the background. The loch pictured is (?). We were there on our way out to Glen Coe in January 2001, and as you can see, it was so cold the loch had become about 80% frozen! We threw rocks onto the ice and watched them skate to the other side.

The road to Glen Coe passes through a series of lakes and the Munroe Mountains. The area is alive with hikers and climbers. This part of Scotland offers amazing treks! Pictured is Loch Lubnaig, which is in the Trossachs.
